During the Summer of 2017, I was searching for a job online, when I remembered hearing about coolworks.com.
Coolworks is a website dedicated to helping people find adventurous, seasonal and off the cuff jobs.

I found dozens of interesting options, but the one that stuck out most was on a boat; “Deckhand/ Tour Guide for the remainder of the Alaska summer season”.

It was already July, and I knew nothing about Alaska, but I loved being around water, and I loved any sort of new adventure…

I applied that day, had two phone interviews, and within three weeks I was boarding a plane and heading to Alaska!
